Open two portals on the walls and floor of your own room, then send cubes through them. Look into one portal and you see your room from the other side. Portal Physics is a hands-only mixed reality puzzle game with seven chambers.
Play in a room with a clear floor, at least two walls, and about 2.5 m (8 ft) of open floor in front of you. The first time, Portal Physics scans your room. This takes about two minutes and is saved for next time.
Tap Scan & Play and allow world sensing. Look around slowly at the floor and walls until the checklist is complete, then tap Done Scanning.
Allow Photos. Face a wall, press the top button to take a photo, then press the Digital Crown to come back. Take at least four photos from different spots.
Tap Bake & Export, then Play. Next time, choose Use saved to skip the scan, or Scan fresh in a new room.
How to play
A left-hand pinch places the teal portal. A right-hand pinch places the magenta portal. Pinch again to move one.
Grab a hovering cube so it gains weight, then throw or drop it into a portal. It comes out of the other one at the same speed.
Each cube you deliver lights a star. Clear a chamber to unlock the next one.
The seven chambers are First Pinch, Borrowed Exit, Drop Shot, Plating, The Field, Crossfire, and Interlock. Each one adds a new rule, such as a portal that is already placed, walls that refuse portals, or an energy field that dissolves cubes.
Troubleshooting
"Room access is off": open Settings, find Portal Physics, and turn on Surroundings (world sensing).
Photos don't appear after you take them: give Portal Physics Full Access to Photos in Settings. With Limited access the app can't see new shots. You can also pick photos manually with Choose Photo.
"This doesn't look like the saved room": you are in a different room or the room has changed. Tap Scan fresh.
Can't finish the scan: keep looking at the floor and walls in good light until every item in the checklist is lit.

Portal Physics does not collect any data. Everything the app uses stays on your Apple Vision Pro.
World sensing: plane detection and scene reconstruction are used so portals can stick to walls, floors, and tables, and so cubes can collide with real furniture.
Room scan: the scanned shape of your room, copies of the scan photos, and the textured room built from them are saved inside the app on your device so you don't have to scan again. You can replace them at any time with Scan fresh, and deleting the app removes them.
Photos: the app reads only the photos you take or pick during the room scan, to texture the scanned room shown through the portals. It does not change, upload, or share your photo library.
Hand input: pinches and grabs are used only to place portals and move cubes during play.
